X-rays is a form of electromagnetic radiation.X-rays were found emanating from Crookes tubes experimental discharge tubes invented around 1875, by scientists investigating the cathode rays, that is energetic electron beams, that were first created in the tubes. Although, 20 years later, it was first systematically study by a German physicist Wilhelm Rontgen.
X-rays are used for industrial use, airport use to detect dangerous "goods" carried by passengers or staff and medical use for the examination of bones and other soft tissues, fractures, growth of tumour. Also used in dental imaging.
So blow the candles because today is 115th Anniversary of this great discover. :)
